To reduce the sugar content of a well-known soft drink with minimal change to the consumer experience.

The Solution

Our specialist Sweetener Panel defined the aroma, flavour, mouthfeel and aftertaste attributes of the original recipe drink using SensEye™. The sensory profiles of several recipe options were compared in an iterative process until the closest match was identified.

The Outcome

The approach expedited progress towards target and allowed the developer to build a clear understanding of the effects of different sweetener blends allowing a faster and more cost-effective development process.
