Claim Support in Skin Care using an Extended Home User Trial
The Challenge
Can a new skin cream carry a claim that dry skin looks brighter, feels and looks firmer and fine lines appear reduced?
The Solution
- An in-home user trial amongst 100 women with visible fine lines who self-reported as having dry skin.
- Daily wear over an 8-week period with online diary questionnaire immediately after first use and then every two weeks.
- At each time point, participants rated their agreement with a series of statements about the appearance and feel of their skin and their opinion of the cream.
The Outcome
- An improvement in skin brightness was reported immediately by over 70% consumers. They also reported that the cream delivered benefits to skin firmness and reduced the appearance of fine lines over time, resulting in healthier and younger-looking skin.
- The product claims were supported.
