Just a load of Blaa...

Blaa bread

We are very excited to be supporting University College Dublin to run the largest Central Location Test ever!

This large scale consumer product test will take place at the world famous Waterford Harvest Festival in early September. Consumers will be asked to give their view of three samples of Blaa. Blaa is a very soft white bread bun (roll). One type has a floury exterior and tends to be more chewy whilst another version has a more crusty exterior.

This study aims to prove that Blaa is worthy of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) of the county of Waterford, Ireland.

We have plenty of experience of Blaa at Sensory Dimensions. Rachel Dale, a student from UCD spent time with us last year and carried out a project identifying the drivers of preference in Blaa.

We will post photos and an update on findings…
